Positive Life Fundas

We all want a happy life, and we all know that having a positive attitude feels better than a negative one. But for some reason, we are all attracted to and can be easily drawn to the negative side. How do we go about to establish a more positive attitude as a daily habit?

5 Steps to a Happy Life with Positive Attitude
Step 1: Believe Happiness is a Choice

For me, this was a hard one at first. I thought that people were either unhappy or happy (and I was one of the unhappy ones). I used to blame this on all kinds of outside forces –- fate, experiences, parents, relationships –- but never really stopped to think that I could choose to be happy.

Sure, this isn’t always easy, but it is always, always an option. Teaching myself to see that happiness is a choice has been one of the greatest things I’ve ever done for myself.

Now when I find myself in a bad situation, I know that it’s up to me to find the good, to be happy regardless of what’s happening around me. I am no longer pointing fingers, placing blame. I realize that everything happens how it happens and it’s up to me to choose how I want to feel about it. I am in control of my happiness level and no one can take that away from me.

Step 2: Rid Your Life of Negativity

If you want to live a positive, joyful and happy life, you cannot –- absolutely CANNOT -– be surrounded by negative people who are not encouraging your happiness. When I was a pretty negative person, I tended to attract other negative people.

When I decided to make the change to live a more positive life, I had to rid my life of all of the negative people in it. This, as you can imagine, wasn’t easy. Getting rid of people hurts -– even when you know they aren’t good for you or your current lifestyle.

Not only did I have to get rid of the negative people, but I also had to get rid of the negative things too. I had to stop doing certain things that were causing negativity in my life. I had to take a step back and examine which behaviors were good for me and which were not.

I learned to focus on the positive things I was doing and let go of the negative ones. This process was not easy and to be honest, is still ongoing, but I know this: having negativity in your life prevents you from living a truly positive existence.

Step 3: Look For the Positive in Life

There is the positive aspect in everything. In every person, in every situation, there is something good. Most of the time it’s not all that obvious. We have to look. And sometimes we have to look hard.

The old me just sat back and allowed things to happen by default. If I saw negative, I went with that feeling. I didn’t want to look harder or think too much about the good. I found it much, much easier to sit back and just accept what I saw (which was usually the bad).

Step 4: Reinforce Positivity in Yourself

Once I started thinking more positively and adapted to a more positive attitude, I realized I had to reinforce these thoughts and behaviors in myself so they would stick. As with any sort of training, practice makes perfect, and, yes, you can practice being positive.

The best and easiest way to do this is to be positive when it comes to who you are. Tell yourself you’re awesome. Tell yourself you look good. Tell yourself that you love and accept yourself completely. Tell yourself you did an awesome job at work or raising your kids or whatever it is you do.

Step 5: Share Happiness with Others

Not only do you need to be positive with yourself for this new positive attitude to really take effect, you also need to be positive with others. You have to share your wealth of positivity with the world.

The best way I’ve found to do this is quite simple and basic: be nice. Be nice to other people, no matter what. Tell someone he or she looks nice today. Tell someone they did a great job on that presentation. Tell your parents or children (or both!) how much you love them and how great they are.

When someone is feeling down, do what you can to cheer him or her up. Send flowers. Write notes. Don’t gossip. Be kind to all living things. All of these things sound basic enough, but, for someone like me, they didn’t used to come easily.

Positive Attitude is Every Thing

See Video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9EyV15yclE

Let me use an example to explain.

Say your bathroom was dirty and needed to cleaned. What thoughts enter your mind when you think about cleaning the bathroom. Do you think things like, 'ugh', 'gross', or, 'I have better things I could be doing'? Or do you think things like, 'I don't mind cleaning the bathroom', 'I love the end result of having a clean bathroom', 'I enjoy the lemon scents of the cleaners', or, 'this will be an opportunity to do a little bit of physical activity'?

The first set of responses is an example of a negative attitude. The second set of responses is an example of a positive attitude.

Most of us have thoughts or judgments about everything in our lives. The easiest way to tell if your thoughts are positive or negative about something is to ask yourself how you feel about it. Your thoughts lead to your feelings. And the easiest way to find out what thoughts are behind how you feel is to ask yourself why you feel that way.

Think about an upcoming event in your life, even if it's something simple like getting together with friends. How do you feel about that upcoming event? If you are feeling positive emotions like excitement, or hope, then you know you have positive thoughts about it. Positive thoughts mean you have a positive attitude about it.

On the other hand, if you are feeling scared or worried, then you know that you are having negative thoughts about that event and that your attitude toward it is negative.

These are some examples of how you can have a positive or negative attitude about specific things or events in your life, but what is a positive attitude in more general terms?

The average person has about 55,000 thoughts per day, which means that you potentially have around 55,000 positive or negative thoughts each day. If more of those thoughts are positive than negative, you could say that in general, you have a more positive than negative attitude.

Be Positive With Life

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9EyV15yclE

We all want a happy life, and we all know that having a positive attitude feels better than a negative one. But for some reason, we are all attracted to and can be easily drawn to the negative side. How do we go about to establish a more positive attitude as a daily habit?

Even for someone like me, who thinks about and writes about positivity on an almost daily basis, having a positive attitude is not always easy.

I still sometimes see the world through a negative perspective, focusing on the bad and ignoring the good — especially when things aren’t going the way I had hoped. As I’ve been struggling with this lately, I’ve been reminding myself that it really is possible to change my perspective.

Sometimes, even if you're playing a fair game, life deals your hand from the bottom of the deck. There's no reason for it, necessarily, but it happens. For some people, "Life sucks" might be no date for the prom, or a big zit on the nose—just in time for that big date. For others, it might be getting a phone call as you and the children are decorating the Christmas tree, saying your spouse was just killed in an accident.

Do you sometimes wonder, how to be positive in your thoughts and actions, especially when you are unhappy and unsatisfied, or when life is difficult and tough? For many, it id even difficult to be positive when things go well.

Though simple, most people don't know how to be positive, and sometimes, even prefer to stay negative, because it is a more familiar state of mind.

Like every other subject, the know-how of how to be positive can be learned and the skill developed. It has much to do with changing your attitude and your mindset.

If you keep thinking the same thoughts, day and night, they might, sooner or later, manifest in your world, becoming your reality. This means that if youe want your life to be as you want it to be, you have to be careful of what you think. You need to start thinking more positively.
The Mind Creates Your Reality

As you think, so your life becomes. Changing your attitude and expectations, will sooner or later change your life accordingly.

It is our mind that creates the kind of life we live. If we think positively, we will transform our life accordingly. Everything starts from within, from the most simple action, to the greatest achievement.

We cannot always control our external circumstances, but we can control our inner world of thoughts, where everything starts. We cannot always control our outer universe, but we can, with some effort, control our inner universe.

If you are unhappy and negative, it is due to the way you think, but you can change the way you think.

With a little work and effort, you will change your attitude, expectations, actions and reactions, and this will lead to more motivation, happiness, and improved life conditions.

Positive Thinking can have a huge impact in your Life. It is  the power of positive thinking. Once you start bring Positive thinking into your life you are going to start seeing it at work. There is no doubt that you will begin to see rewards for all your hard work.

Positive thinking has a way of infecting everything in your life. You will begin by starting to wake up and go through your day feeling.

Positive thinking is something that is a widely held belief.

Most people easily accept that when you give off positive energy, you can infect others with that positive energy and that they will return that  that energy to you.

"Positive and Negative are Directions. Which direction do you choose?"

Positive thinking is expecting, talking, believing, and visualizing what you want to achieve. It is seeing what you want, as an accomplished fact.

A positive mind anticipates Happiness, Joy, Health, and Favorable Results.

You can Try :-)

Being a Positive Thinker:

Embracing the positivity  around you and having a new insight towards life is a gradual process, it takes its own time. Here are a few things to be remembered to prevent yourself from falling back into the same negative pool of thoughts:

Set meaningful goals:  You should keep yourself busy working on the goal you have set for yourself and more importantly believe in the cause you've set for yourself. Once you accomplish a goal, you will be inspired to continue with the remaining goals, making gradual additions to your list. With each goal you achieve you will notice your self-confidence and esteem taking a huge leap forward.
Educe a plan for yourself: Make a plan for your life–– An easy way to go about doing this would be by start questioning yourself. Where do you want to finally reach in life? Where do you want to be at certain points in your life? This doesn't have to be a knotty, but rather a simple one to you give yourself the motivation to overcome obstacles and to start feeling that it is you who is in control of your destiny –– not fate, not others or some event beyond your ambit of control.

Embrace the difficulties you may face as you try to reach your goals you have set for yourself. They will come your way as often as successes or peak moments in your life, but the important lesson to be learnt is of not letting this belittle your efforts. Enduring such difficult times will teach you what doesn't work and you can deal with it, only if you choose to.
Don't forget to have fun: It's a cliche but it's said often for good reason. It isn't all drudgery and never-ending monotony  so remember to take a break and have some fun! Sometimes the tinkle of humor is just what is needed for things to fall into place. Fun de-links the hard work and challenges. 'Laughter' and 'positive emotions' through comedy, amusement, fun and happy activities are an important part of keeping your spirits up.
Every action reciprocates itself: "Positivity attracts positivity" , the same way that "negativity attracts negativity".. It is ,but natural to want others to treat you well. But to be on the receiving end of good things you must deliver the good yourself. On the other hand, if you are rude, lack in manners or unkind to people, watch out ,it may all come back to you with a vengeance.
